I’m sure that some days my schedule is just like yours; hectic. If I’m not careful though, a missed exercise day can turn into a missed week. It can be easy to say “I’m too busy for a workout” or you get home after a long day, and there just isn’t any energy left.
My normal workouts vary in length form 45 min to 90 min, but when I’m in one of those busy days/weeks, I just can’t spare the time for that. So when I’m pressed for time, I do a short intense little workout. Body-weight only, no weights or equipment. It’s only ten minutes long, but can be shortened to 5 minutes if you’re really in a pinch, or lengthened if you have more time.
Ten Minute Workout
10 Body-Weight Squats
10 Push ups
10 Mountain Climbers
10 Crunches
Basically, I set the timer on my phone for 10 minutes, then I begin. I do ten repetitions of each exercise, and without pausing go to the next exercise and continue. There are no rests or pauses for the entire ten minutes.
That’s it. Simple, quick, and enough to get most muscle groups into action as well as getting my heart pumping.
